libro Inés Y La Alegría

Toulouse, Summer 1939. Carmen de Pedro, responsible for the decimated French Spanish Communists, crosses with Jesús Monzón, a lesser member of the party without her intuition, returning home with an ambitious plan. A few years later, in 1944, Monzón, has become her partner and organized the most disciplined group of the Resistance against the German occupation. The resistance group prepares the Spanish National Union and has an army of men ready to invade Spain. Among them is Galán, who has fought in the Association of Spanish guerrillas and believes, like many others in the fall of 1944, after the Allied landings and the withdrawal of the Germans, it is possible to establish a Republican government in Vielha. Not far from there, Inés is reclusive and guarded by her brother, provincial delegate of Falange in Lleida. Inés has suffered all the calamities from supporting the Republican cause during the war alone in Madrid, but now, when she hears the announcement of the secret operation on Radio Reconquest of the Spanish Pyrenees, Inés finding courage and a secret joy, decides to leave behind the worst years of her life. –Cataloger translation of book back cover.
